Created for Food Artist Emilie Baltz, PopStars is a lick-able popsicle orchestra that uses food & technology to trigger MIDI signals for use in live, electronic music performance.

Guests are invited on stage to lick custom programmed popsicles. Each lick triggers a musical composition – transforming audience member into performer and licking into an act of play.

Popstars debuted at Outside Lands Music Festival in 2015 to a score designed by electronic musician Dan Deacon.
